This Week The Mice Have Mostly Been...

Another week, another barrage of long hours, early mornings and too many cups of coffee! However fear not the weekend is here...
This week, when we haven't been buzzing on caffeine highs, yawning continually and wishing we could just be Harper Beckham, the Mice have mostly been...

Daydreaming back to last week when I was lazing on my sunbed with an incredibly beautiful Mallorcan backdrop at Gran Folies Beach Club. This spot has seriously killer views from all angles; the sorts of vistas that summon an instant exhale and an appreciation for the here and now!

Forget generic hotel pools, or posey beach clubs, this is the place you want to be. Gran Folies is uber-luxe but still manages to retain a more cool laid back vibe than the rest of the TOWIE-packed beach clubs around the Med. You can get a standard sunbed for 12 euros or pay 30 euros and get a first row sunbed (basically no pesky people blocking the gorgeous view) with a towel, water and fruit all thrown in!

I immediately fell in love with the boho grass parasols, creating the perfect picture of paradise...I spent the day feeling like I'd stepped into a Gray Malin photograph!

If you're after a relaxing day with a view and you never tire of, sipping killer caipirinhas and feasting on delicious seafood and paella (um who ever tires of that...?!) then this gem is perfect for you! Officially my happy place...

Striking off another place on my never ending list of new London restaurants to check out! I'm still lusting after a feed at Bao, Social Wine and Tapas and Bone Daddies Shackfuyu but I keep coming up against the same issue...no reservations policy! Currently the most annoying words to read on a website!

However this week, I had a meet-up scheduled with my best girls from school. The perfect opportunity to get our names down on the waiting list and then just seen the wait as valuable drinking and gossip time rather than a chore!

I'm not the biggest fan of the standard Bone Daddies menu - I found the ramen too salty and a little bit greasy, however after reading rave reviews of Shackfuyu, I was seriously intrigued to see what all the fuss was about. With a short but sweet menu I found it pretty easy to order a delicious sounding feast for us girlies!

We went for a couple of large dishes and lots of smaller plates which worked perfectly. Dish after dish arrived smelling incredible, cooked to perfection, presented beautifully and bursting full of hot, spicy, sweet and sour flavours - an out and out party in your mouth!

We started off with some spicy edamame swimming in soy and chilli - the perfect kick off for four hungry mouths...

Next up the legendary prawn toast which totally lived up to the hyped expectations...

The whole sea bass was simple but oh so yum - salty crispy skin, cooked so beautifully it melted in your mouth...

The USDA beef picanha in kimchee butter was seared to perfection and left you yearning to lick the plate!!!

The yellow tail sashimi with avocado was light, fresh with a great kick of chilli...

And of course the sweet sticky amazing miso aubergines, so good we started scoffing before I got a picture...but trust me a definite must on your visit!! All washed down with a couple of G&Ts and we were happy little campers!

Not of course forgetting the final piece de resistance...Kinako French Toast served with Green Tea Soft Serve...a crunchy, sticky, buttery plate of amazingness. You have to go immediately just to check this bad boy out!

I'll leave you on that lip smacking picture - go tend to those rumbling tummies and let the weekend countdown commence!

The Mice x
