This Week The Mice Have Mostly Been...

Oh, well if it isn't our second favourite F-word...

This week has been a bit of a dull one. Not only have the Mice found themselves with 5,995 miles back between them again, but we've also all been sick. And while the idea of being snuggled at home is nice in theory, when you have a kickass case of the flu with a bone-shaking cough, it's less pleasant. So if it's possible, we're even happier than usual to see the back of this week, very much looking forward to feeling better, and hoping beyond hope that we can manage to squeeze in at least a glimmer of fun this weekend. But, it hasn't all been doom and gloom this week, when we haven't been sniffling into our tissues and whinging about our wheezing, this week the Mice have mostly been...

Zipping through tales of melting wedding cakes, bridezillas and a best man in love with the groom in Imogen Edwards-Jones Wedding Babylon. The perfect fluffy read for anyone confined to their sickbed, we devoured this in a day. If you haven't read any of Edwards-Jones' Babylon series, each book focuses on an industry from hospitality (Hotel Babylon) to airlines (Air Babylon) and weaves a set of real life stories gleaned from interviews with industry insiders into a story of a fictional week in the life of a luxury hotel/ airline/ high end wedding planner. Wedding Babylon doesn't quite have the sparkle of our favourite in the series, Hotel Babylon, but it's silly, light-hefted fun and guaranteed to have you double checking on your wedding planner if you're  bride to be...

Booking our tickets for the Alexander McQueen Savage Beauty ExhibitionThe V&A opened this homage to fashion's much-missed genius on 14th March and we've heard whispers that it's even more dazzling than the 2011 original version shown at New York's Met. The exhibition will run until 2 August but we're booking in immediately to make sure we get a glimpse of all those feathers, skulls and holograms before they're gone.

And that's that for another week!

Lots of love,
x
The Mice
