The night started out at the mouse household where out brand spanking new bar cart took centre stage...
We whipped up Hendricks based cocktails with lime, mint and ginger beer AKA Summer Mule - check out the recipe here - to get us suitably tipsy...
We then lined our stomachs with a delicious new recipe we road-tested using our secret kitchen weapon Mr.Spiralizer. Stay tuned for the full blown recipe this coming Friday in our The Mice Have Mostly Been post BUT a sneak preview of it won't hurt ... so the ingredients include courghetti with prawns and an avocado, lime, garlic and basil sauce, topped off with sprinkles of sweetcorn kernels. Seriously yummy AND oh-so-good for you...
An hour later, beautified to the max, we fled the flat in search of a boozy thirst quencher. First bar on our hit list was Mother Kelly's ... a New York inspired tap room - 23 taps to be exact - right by Bethnal Green tube. Tucked away under the railway arches, the bar boasts a buzzy vibe, alcohol-galore and an edgy graffiti-clad wall. Perfect first date spot or for a relaxed group catch up. We'll be back!
Lastly, Oslo was cruisin for a bruisin! Off we galloped to Hackney for dancing, silliness and shots of Patron - cue the hangovers!
The evening drew to a close with a brief game of Connect Four and Jenga, as you do on a night out ... when I same game, I mean it in the loosest possible sense...
So with the night now looking like this...
...it was high time we grabbed an Uber and retired back to Mouse towers for drunken bagels and scrambled eggs!
Perfect ending. Perfect company. Perfect January mantra.
