After a manic day juggling multiple PR projects and being pulled in 100 different directions, I reach home and finally cross the finish line - andddddd relax! It's then a case of cooking up a tasty dinner with my partner in crime, Mini Mouse, watch a bit of catch-up - at the moment it's Orange is the New Black, and I'm done. Spent. Ready to hit the hay!
I actually spend very little time in my bedroom as it's kind of on the shoebox size! When Mini and I first bought our flat and moved in, one of the first things we did was flip a coin for the biggest room - can you guess who came up trumps? Not me, that's who! Over the years I've accepted it (sometimes not gracefully) and now I love my little sanctuary.
With our summer now in full swing here in London, the nights have become extremely uncomfortable and warm changing my bedroom from a shoebox to a hotbox! This got Mini and I thinking... why suffer every night with our big, thick, cosy duvet? You would never sleep like that when away on holiday so why at home? On that note, we decided it was high time to dump the duvets and introduce nice light and airy sheets, just like holiday! So off we trotted to M&S and snapped up some flat bed linen sheets - nothing special, just cheap and cheerful crisp sheets which were £12 each. I opted for an aubergine hue to add a pop of colour to my room which is otherwise quite white...
Another bedroom favourite I swear by are luxury pillow sprays. A quick spritz on your pillow before jumping in and you'll be well on your way to dreamland I promise. We have two we love...
L'Occitane Relaxing Pillow Mist, £14 - super fresh and subtle with smells of lavender, bergamot, mandarin, sweet orange and geranium.
this works deep sleep pillow spray, £16 - soothing lavender that makes you instantly relax and unwind.

While we're on the subject of sweet smells, another product I adore are the Jo Malone room diffusers. In my room at the moment I have Red Roses but I've also tried and tested the Pomegranate one before which is also beautiful. You might think £54 is pricey but they honestly last a long, long while. My red roses one is sadly coming to the end of its life but has lasted for nearly a year now which works out at a mere £4.50 a month - worth every penny in my opinion!
Another bedroom love of mine sits on my bedside table - a Rob Ryan tile coaster, £26, and is where my tall glass of water perches every night!
Lastly, if you're sleeping in a sanctuary, you need to dress like a goddess! I recently discovered these gorgeous Victoria's Secret silk nighties, £42 and now no other sleeping attire will do!
And that's a wrap on your insight into my snoozy happy place. And all that blogging has made me pretty yawny so I'm off to my sanctuary of dreams - nighty night!
