It's officially turned cold, the evenings are gradually getting darker and my leather jacket is no longer cutting it - this can only mean one thing...Winter has arrived!
If I didn't have a beach get away booked this weekend, I would definitely be in mourning! Our short summer is over and the days of freezing mornings, boiling hot tube journeys, zero week day hours in daylight and permanently wearing tights are back with a vengeance! However it's not all doom and gloom, and to reinforce that, I thought it would be the perfect time to give you our top reasons to be gleeful for Winter...
Cosy Cocktails - We've spent the summer sipping on glasses of icy cold Pimms whilst basking in every second of sun possible but that doesn't have to stop there, what's better than getting cosy with a mug full of hot winter Pimms in front of a fire! Who doesn't love a piping hot alcoholic apple juice?!

Wardrobe Rehab - Winter gives us a totally legitimate reason to go shopping and update our skimpy summer wardrobes so that we're forearmed for Winter 2013! I hit the high street last weekend and now is the time to snap up your Winter coat and super cosy 'essentials' - tartan, leather, chunky knits and boots anyone?! I especially loved these beauties....

Sofa Hibernation - Saturday nights out dressed in tight midi skirts and cropped tops are a thing of the past and it's now all about pyjamas and Winter TV! Things just got a whole lot better with the return of the X factor and Strictly and wait for it....Downton Abbey is back THIS Sundayyyyyyy! Prepare yourself for cosy nights all wrapped up with big glasses of red wine whilst watching Lady Violet Crawley swishing around with her fabulous one liners!

Wintery Yumness - Forget salads, sushi and long jogs in the park, bikini season is a long way off and you're going to be in multiple layers for the foreseeable future. It's now officially acceptable to head straight home after work, after all it's far too dark and slippery to risk a jog. Instead get into the kitchen and whip up monster bowls of spaghetti bolognese, winter stews and bangers & mash with lashings of gravy! We need to keep up out strength in these climates after all!
