Babington House : Where Dreams Really Do Come True

Our good friend Julia and her boyfriend Kev recently swapped the smog of London for the countryside of Somerset and took up residence at the luxurious Babington House for four whole days and three blissful nights. Jealous much? We were! Anyway we agreed that we would allow her to leave us behind on one condition ... she wrote us a 3BM review! True to her word, we bring you that very review to cheer your morning up...

This hotel of dreams has been on my wish list for years and years, so it's fair to say my expectations were pretty high! From the minute we arrived I knew that it was going to live up to the hype. It's as beautiful as I had hoped, with impeccable service and on top of that they had thought about every single detail to make your stay perfect.

We opted for a 'tiny' attic room in the main house and I was pleasantly surprised to find it was super cute and not at all claustrophobic ... phew!

I must admit to getting slightly over excited about the unlimited use of Cowshed products in the room - I was pretty much moisturising five times a day! Coupled with fresh coffee on tap, a jam-packed mini bar and a fantastic room service menu (including popcorn) I was all set for a super relaxing, luxurious stay.

Much of the appeal of Babington lay in the fact that this is where the Cowshed spa and products were first created. So I felt like treatments were an absolute must!!! The spa area was just as beautiful as the rest of the house with yummy honey and ginger tea and mint water to keep you topped up in between massages, wraps, pedicures and facials - complete and utter bliss!

Unfortunately the English weather was true to form so the winter walks were swapped for lazy breakfasts in bed - and what a breakfast! I nearly squealed with delight when two men walked in carrying this treasure chest of goodies...

When I said they thought of everything they really did - rain or shine there is plenty to do. So next we headed off to the games room! After many hours of playing pool (I definitely need more practice), Cluedo and UNO we were ready for a spot of light exercise. We ventured out for a brisk and pretty magical swim in the heated outdoor pool. To be honest we should have spent more time in the pool, given the food consumption over our four day stay!

Not wanting to miss out on anything we made sure we visited the private cinema, downed a fair few cocktails in the bar and sampled the lunch, dinner AND bar menu... Oh and did I say that they serve complimentary afternoon tea daily from 3-5pm?! Literally heaven on earth!

After four foodie filled days I was gutted to be leaving andI'm already planning my next trip back!
