Diana Vreeland: The Eye Has To Travel

Fashion week is so close now that we can barely contain our excitement and now there's another reason to get even more excited about September, the release of the Diana Vreeland documentary, the Eye Has To Travel.

Long before Anna Wintour had discovered the power of Chanel and a sharp haircut, Diana Vreeland was the fashion tour de force styling the world. Widely credited as one of the most influential women of the Twentieth Century, she edited Harpers Bazaar for 25 years before becoming Editor in Chief of Vogue. She launched Twiggy, advised Jackie O and declared the bikini the biggest thing since the atom bomb.

The film charts her rise to empress of the fashion world combining film clips and soundbites of Vreeland herself with anecdotes from friends and colleagues who range from Andy Warhol to Manolo Blahnik and Lauren Hutton to Diane Von Furstenberg. The film's scheduled for release on 21st September and until then we'll be watching the trailer on a loop...
